We contact you.

We contact you via text. If you do not respond via text, we reach out via email. We contact you when a pair is breeding that you have been waiting on a kit from. Or, when a litter is born and your name comes up on the waitlist. Or, when a kit matching your criteria is available for you, ex. jill, hob, twins, light or dark colored.

Sexes are announced at 2wks.

When kits turn 2wks old, sexes are announced, along with individual 2wks old pictures. If you are already waiting for one of these kits, you will be the first to see the pictures. Then, I will post them on social media -- because they are adorable!

You continue to receive updates.

From wk2 - wk5, you continue to receive updates with photos. For instance, I like to send pictures of their first meaty meal independent of mom. It seems like a milestone that new ferret parents would appreciate being able to see.

At wk5, you reserve your kit.

When kits turn 5wks, you will select your kit from the individual kit pictures provided, and place your deposit to reserve your kit. Selections are made in the order of the waitlist, and dependent on what is being requested. Ex. a client waiting for a hob, a jill, a specific color, may have first pick if the combination is more rare and shows up. I try to be fair, but I also make suggestions based on information provided by the client and the individuals in the litter.

You receive video updates.

At this point, the kits are very quick and full of energy, so videos become easier to share than photographs. You will continue to receive updates as long as you ask for them, and they will likely be received via text in video form.

This is a very good time to iron out transportation plans, whether you are picking up your baby in person, or having a courier service help you out.

Additionally, this is the time you should receive a copy of your kit's adoption contract from me, via email.

Your baby goes home!

At 8wks, your baby can go home. They will go home to you with the following: their pedigree (you may request this on digits as well), vaccine record (2 parvo/dist boosters and microchip), adoption contract, and goody bag.

The remainder of your ferret's adoption fee is due on the date of hand-off.

What to Expect Post-Adoption:

Post-adoption, you can expect us to contact you once each year, to check up on how things are going with you and your SAS ferret, find out if any ferret medical concerns have come up, and any other interesting, lovely, or unexpected developments.

Please feel very welcome to share photos of your SAS ferret with us.

We love receiving updates!
