Do you wonder what the SAS Ferretry room looks like?
Right now, it looks like this:

Sometimes, people cannot travel to our location, and we work with shipping to get their kits delivered safely to their new homes. Still, it is nice to see the environment where the ferrets and kits are living prior to going home!
Each intact adult ferret has their own "apartment" which is one level of a Ferret Nation or Critter Nation cage, stacked 3 levels high. Ferrets who are altered or implanted and get on well can share space comfortably, 2 per apartment.

There is a bean box, a toy bin, and many places for the ferrets to stash items when they are out for playtime.
The closet stores many ferret supplies.
The rug is for gripping for ferret feet while running and rubbing ferret bellies while sliding. The flooring that looks like wood is actually foam pieces, which ensure a softer landing if a ferret falls onto the floor after a daring leap! Also, it makes for easier cleanup.

The black box on the wall is a Rabbit A3 Odor Filtration System -- it is quiet and great for cutting down on odors caused by housing many animals in one space.
The cabinet holds ferret item storage for frequently accessed ferret items, such as salmon oil, ferret tooth paste and tooth brushes, q-tips and ear solution for cleaning ears, cat nail clippers for clipping nails, and of course, SNACKIES!
The TV is of course for human entertainment, but the ferrets do not seem to mind.

This our micro ferret's apartment. Her name is Neraida, and she appreciates special carpeting... a little spoiled maybe :)
This concludes the virtual tour of our humble ferret room. We do love visitors, so considering coming our way to see see us sometime!
